Service Manager allows you to directly post invoices into Xero and have Xero email the invoice directly. You can choose different invoice layouts for direct debit customers and also decide if you want to send detailed on summary information to Xero.

To set this up initially you need to enter a few settings into Service Manager.

To setup the export settings for Xero

  1. From the Home page , choose Administration        
  2. Choose Edit Settings           
  3. Choose Invoicing
  4. Choose Posting
  5. In the Account Provider dropdown select Xero
  6. Enter your Account Name, for the demo company this would be Demo Company (UK)
  7. Click the Verify button
  8. A browser window will open with the standard Xero Login Screen displayed, login as normal
  9. The next screen will display a window asking for permission to allow Service Manager access to your company
  10. Choose the company you would like to post to and click Allow Access. You have now authorised the connection between Service Manager and Xero.
  11. Choose Save        

You can choose to send detailed information about each invoice to Xero or just a summary. The detailed will send every item for each customer on the invoice whereas the summary will send a single line for each customer. The default is setting Summary.
